Injectables / Dermal Fillers

Much progress has been made with injectable dermal fillers in improving the effects of facial aging. Filler can be used to treat moderate to severe wrinkles and facial folds as well as the enhancement of certain facial features. Dermal fillers work to create and replace volume within this space using hyaluronic acid (HA), a substance found naturally in the body. Dermal fillers are manipulated skillfully to sculpt the face and contour, adding definition to the natural lines of bone structure. There are many options when it comes to the type/brand of dermal fillers and each has unique characteristics. During the initial consultation, these options are discussed and the proper filler is selected based on individual needs.

Botox® & Dysport®

These two treatments are anti-wrinkle injections from the family of botulinum toxins. Because of their long history and proven results, these medications continue to be a mainstay in anti-aging medicine. The product is delivered to the area of concern via a small needle and muscle relaxation is achieved. This results in an improvement of mild to moderate facial lines and wrinkles. As the skin relaxes, wrinkles are offered time to smooth over and subtle facial asymmetries are corrected. Understanding knowledge of the anatomy and the dynamic balance is crucial.

Kybella®

Kybella® is a prescription medicine used in adults to improve the appearance and profile of moderate to severe fat below the chin (submental fat), also called “double chin.” The active ingredient in Kybella® is synthetic deoxycholic acid. Deoxycholic acid is a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. When injected into the fat beneath the chin, Kybella® destroys fat cells, resulting in a noticeable reduction in fullness under the chin. Once destroyed, these cells can no longer store or accumulate fat, so further treatment is not expected once you reach your desired aesthetic goal.  At your consultation, your provider will determine if you are a candidate and how many treatments you require to meet your aesthetic goal.

Sculptra

Sculptra is an injectable cosmetic filler that can be used to restore facial volume lost due to aging. It contains poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a biocompatible, absorbable material that stimulates collagen production. We start to lose collagen each year beginning at around 30 years of age. As you age, your body’s collagen production decreases, and you may begin to see wrinkles or sagging. Fat loss beneath the skin also results in drooping skin, hollowed cheeks, indentations, and depressions in the face. It can be used to treat facial fat loss, deep lines, creases, and folds to yield a more youthful appearance. Sculptra has a unique mechanism where it is one of the few that actually causes new collagen formation

Sculptra works by stimulating your own body to produce collagen in response to Poly L Lactic Acid. When Sculptra is injected, results are seen immediately, but subside rather quickly because it is mostly saline and lidocaine. The true results will become more apparent over the following months, and only get better!

Sculptra is different from typical hyaluronic fillers in that Sculptra takes 4 weeks to start to see results, requires a few treatments, lasts longer than hyaluronic fillers, and promotes your body to naturally produce collagen.

By sending multiple lower fluence pulses at a high repetition rate, Forever Bare™ provides a treatment that is safe, fast, efficacious, and comfortable. The motion BBL technology allows for extremely even heating of hair follicles and minimizes missed areas that occur with traditional hair removal devices.

Aesthetic Skin Treatments

A medical facial follows the same general steps as a classic spa facial, including cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, and hydration. The primary difference between these two treatments is that medical facials are performed by a qualified healthcare professional using medical-grade products and tools.  At our clinic, we exclusively use SkinCeuticals®, a skin care line that has led the industry in producing innovative, high-potency cosmeceuticals concentrated in pure actives and proven to penetrate optimally into skin.

  • Infusion Facial

Unlike a chemical peel, there is little to no downtime associated with JetPeel™ facial treatments.  JetPeel utilizes pure oxygen to form a subsonic jet stream of micro-droplets that penetrates deep down into the dermis. JetPeel provides skin rejuvenation by removing natural skin debris, exfoliating damaged skin cells, extraction of skin impurities, and infusion of natural bioactive skin nutrients. Treatments smooth lines & wrinkles, re-volumize & lift, reduce pore size, diminish brown spots, and aide in improving under-eye circles. Results are immediate with no downtime or skin irritation. JetPeel can also be used for Hair Restoration by infusing PRP without any needles!

  • Vi Peel

Widely known skin resurfacing procedure using a deep medical grade peel. It rejuvenates skin texture and tone by eliminating the top layer of skin, allowing new healthy skin to surface. Also, improves sunspots (hyperpigmentation), acne, acne scarring, melanoma, and increases collagen production to fight against fine lines and wrinkles.

PRP Services

Platelet rich plasma, or PRP, is a relatively new innovation in aesthetic medicine. Producing PRP involves drawing blood from the patient and concentrating specific blood cells called platelets. In the body, platelets are primarily involved in clot formation and wound healing. As a result, they contain many growth factors and cell signaling molecules called cytokines. These natural chemicals have many antiaging effects when infused into the skin. At our clinic, we use PRP mainly for Vampire Facials and Nonsurgical Hair Restoration.

  • The Vampire Facial / Microneedling

The Vampire Facial is microneedling combined with topical PRP, though it is sometimes injected into troubled areas. The microchannels created during microneedling allow the PRP to infuse deep into the skin. The platelets are then activated within the skin and release natural chemicals which, through a cascade of reactions, stimulate collagen and elastin production. Elastin and collagen fibers are the healthy building blocks of tight, evenly textured skin. For best results, the Vampire Facial is given in a series of three treatments 4-6 weeks apart. The skin renewal continues to occur for several months after the procedures and may last for a year or longer with proper skin care. Most patients have visible results within 2-4 weeks and maintenance treatments can be performed yearly as needed.

  • Microneedling Without PRP

This technology is a minimally invasive skin resurfacing treatment. For this reason, it is also known as "collagen induction therapy." This treatment firms the skin and improves elasticity -- essentially reversing the aging process. At G Lab Aesthetics, we use the Skin Pen® Precision. This is the only class II, FDA approved microneedling device in the USA. A testament to its safety and superior quality that stimulates collagen production.

  • PRP Hair Treatments

Aside from antiaging effects on the skin, PRP is also commonly being used for nonsurgical hair restoration. There are plenty of data supporting PRP treatment for both male and female pattern hair loss as well with nonscarring alopecia. The treatment involves injections of PRP as well as microneedling of the treatment area. We are careful to provide our patients with adequate local anesthesia in order to decrease discomfort. Treatment responders see hair thickening, increase in multi-hair follicles, and sometimes new hair growth 6-9 months after initial treatment, though many see results sooner.
